Surprise Pumpkin Rice Krispies Treat

Here’s a great Rice Krispies treat for Halloween.  I’ve done this recipe with and without the chocolate bar treat inside.  I hope you enjoy it as much as we have.

What You Will Need to do:

–   3 Tbsp of butter or margarine

–   4 cups of miniature marshmallows

–   Orange food colouring

–   6 cups of Rice Krisipies cereal

–   6 fun size chocolate bars – I’ve used either Mars or Musketeers bar (cut each bar into half)

–   canned of green frosting

–   12 small green gum drops

What You Will Need to do:

1.   In a large saucepan, melt the over low heat so it won’t burn.

2.   Add the marshmallows and stir until they have completely melted.  Remove from the heat and add the orange food colouring.

3.   Now, add the Rice Krispies cereal and stir until everything is well coated.

4.   Using a ½-cup measuring cup coated with cooking spray (this is used to portion out easier), divide the warm cereal mixture into 12 portions.

5.   Place a little bit of butter on your hands and then shape each portion into a pumpkin shape around 1/2 of the candy bars.

6.   Pipe the frosting on to each piece to make the vines and then add the gumdrop for the stem.

About Dino
There are many things that I love to do. One of those things is crafts! If I could find a job that involved crafts and being able to pay the bills, I'd be all over it! I've also found a great love for cooking and baking in the past few years. Sometimes there doesn't seem to be enough time in the day to be able to fully get into cooking and baking to the degree that I would like to. I've also found myself making a HUGE effort to save my family money. I'm still a beginner but I'm surprised at how many different ways I've found to save money, including starting to use coupons! I hope you enjoy all that I'm about to share.
