Hot Dog Pinwheels Recipe

Here’s a great appetizer recipe that is sure to please any crowd which I found on the Tenderflake website with a few personal revisions to help out.

What You Will Need:

–   2 frozen pie shells

–   2 Tbsp of mustard

–   2 large sized wieners

–   1 cup of shredded cheese

What You Will Need to do:

1.   Preheat your oven to 400ºF.

2.   Thaw the pie shells at room temperature for about 10 minutes.

3.   Take the pie shell out of the foil and onto a lightly floured surface.  Moisten your fingers with water and pinch and press any cracked edges together.

4.   Spread 1 tbsp of mustard on one pie shell leaving a ½-inch border around edge.

5.   Place 1 wiener on pastry edge closest to you.

6.   Sprinkle ¼ cup cheese over mustard.

7.   Carefully roll up and cut roll crosswise into ¾-inch slices.

8.   Gently pinch pastry end of each spiral to prevent unraveling during baking.  Place on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.

9.   Repeat the first eight steps with second pie shell.

10.   Sprinkle spirals with remaining cheese and bake in preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and pastry is golden brown.

About Dino
There are many things that I love to do. One of those things is crafts! If I could find a job that involved crafts and being able to pay the bills, I'd be all over it! I've also found a great love for cooking and baking in the past few years. Sometimes there doesn't seem to be enough time in the day to be able to fully get into cooking and baking to the degree that I would like to. I've also found myself making a HUGE effort to save my family money. I'm still a beginner but I'm surprised at how many different ways I've found to save money, including starting to use coupons! I hope you enjoy all that I'm about to share.
