Holiday Ornament Cake Pops Recipe

 Holiday Ornament Cake Pops

I think this idea is perfect which I would at the Canada Living website.  The instructions are below; however, I have made a few personal adjustments.

What You Will Need:

–   5 ½ cups of vanilla wafers

–   1/3 cup of sugar

–   2 Tbsp of coloured corn syrup

–   ½ cup of apple juice

–   1 ¼ cups of white chocolate coating wafers

–   1 ¼ cups of green chocolate coating wafers

–   1 ¼ cups of red chocolate coating wafers

–   assorted sugars

–   silver dragee

–   16 lollipop sticks

What You Will Need to do:

1.    In food processor, pulse wafers with sugar until in fine crumbs.  Transfer to bowl. Stir in apple juice and corn syrup.  Shape by 2 tbsp into 16 balls, washing and drying hands when beginning to stick.  Refrigerate on parchment paper–lined plate for 30 minutes.

2.   In microwaveable bowl, microwave white coating wafers on medium-high, in 10 seconds intervals and stirring each time, until smooth.  This should take less than a minute.

3.   Dip end of each lollipop stick into melted wafers; insert halfway into cake ball.  Stand in foam block or cake pop stand.  If cake pops soften, refrigerate for 15 minutes.

4.    In separate microwaveable bowls, melt green and red coating wafers.  Dip cake pops into desired colours to coat, letting excess drip back into bowl. Sprinkle with decorations, if desired.

5.   Refrigerate the lollipops now until set, about 30 minutes.

6.  Pipe remaining chocolate onto pops if desired; dip into sprinkles, dragées, coarse sugar  or however you’d like to decorate them.

About Dino
There are many things that I love to do. One of those things is crafts! If I could find a job that involved crafts and being able to pay the bills, I'd be all over it! I've also found a great love for cooking and baking in the past few years. Sometimes there doesn't seem to be enough time in the day to be able to fully get into cooking and baking to the degree that I would like to. I've also found myself making a HUGE effort to save my family money. I'm still a beginner but I'm surprised at how many different ways I've found to save money, including starting to use coupons! I hope you enjoy all that I'm about to share.
