Salted Caramel Chocolate Cheesecake Recipe

I cannot find the words to describe how much I love desserts that are both salty and sweet.  I think it’s a perfect combination and this recipe fulfills a craving like this that I found at the Philadelphia website.

What You Will Need:

–   1 ¼ cups of Oreo baking crumbs

–   1/4 cup of melted butter

–   3 packages (250g) of cream cheese

–   3 eggs

–   3/4 cup of sugar

–   1/2 cup of baker’s semisweet chocolate – melted

–   3/4 cup of thick caramel sauce

–   1/2 tsp of course sea salt

What You Will Need to do:

1.   Preheat your oven to 350°F.

2.   In a bowl, mix the Oreo crumbs and butter together.  Then press onto a bottom of a 9” springform pan.

3.   Now beat the cream cheese and sugar together.  Then slowly add the eggs.  Follow by stirring in the chocolate.  Pour over the crust.

4.   Bake for 40 minutes.  Let cool and then run a knife around the rim of pan to loosen cake.  Place in the refrigerator for about 4 hours.

5.   Spread the caramel sauce over the cheesecake and then sprinkle the salt on top.

Yum!

About Dino
There are many things that I love to do. One of those things is crafts! If I could find a job that involved crafts and being able to pay the bills, I'd be all over it! I've also found a great love for cooking and baking in the past few years. Sometimes there doesn't seem to be enough time in the day to be able to fully get into cooking and baking to the degree that I would like to. I've also found myself making a HUGE effort to save my family money. I'm still a beginner but I'm surprised at how many different ways I've found to save money, including starting to use coupons! I hope you enjoy all that I'm about to share.
