DIY / Frugal Tip ~ Homemade Facial Scrub and/or Body Exfoliant

Around this time of year, my skin seems to go crazy with the weather changing.  To help your skin out, try making a mixture of 1 part water to 3 parts baking soda.  Rub this mixture in circles to exfoliate your skin.  Rinse the mixture off your skin.  Your skin feels so much better after this.

Frugal Tip ~ Facial Scrub with Baking Soda

Looking to give yourself a facial but don’t have anything in the house?  Make a scrub with 3 parts baking soda to 1 part water.  Mix well and then rub into your skin in a circular type motion.  Leave on your skin for a couple of minutes and rinse with water.

Frugal Tip ~ Relieve Dry and Itchy Skin

It’s only the beginning of winter and my skin is already dry and itchy.  Do you have the same problem as me?  Take a tablespoon or so of cornstarch, depending on the area of skin you want to put this on, and add vinegar until it has become a paste.  You wouldn’t think the combination would work well to relieve dry and itchy skin but it really does.
