Barbecue Meatball Sliders

 

 

Here’s a great slider recipe:

 

What You Will Need:

For the Meatballs:

–   3 slices of white sandwich, torn into pieces

–   ½  a medium onion cut into wedges

–   1 cup of fresh parsley leaves

–   3 cloves of garlic

–   ¼ cup of milk

–   1 Tbsp of Worcestershire sauce

–   2 pounds of either ground beef or turkey

–   2 large eggs

–   ¼ tsp of salt

–   ¼ tsp of pepper

Ingredients for the Rest of the Burger:

–   12 meatballs from the recipe above (freeze the rest for next time)

–   2 cups of shredded cabbage

–   2 of sliced scallions

–   2 Tbsp of mayonnaise

–   1 Tbsp of cider vinegar

–   1/8 tsp of celery seed

–   ¼ tsp of salt

–   ¼ tsp of pepper

–   2/3 cup of barbecue sauce

–   12 small slider/dinner rolls

 

What You Will Need to do:

1.   For the meatballs:  combine the bread, onion, parsley and garlic in a food processor.  Process until completely chopped up.  Transfer to a medium bowl, add the milk and Worcestershire and let stand for 5 minutes.

2.   Add the beef, eggs, salt and pepper and gently combine.  Form into 40 meatballs.

3.   Place the meatballs on foil-lined baking sheet and broil, one sheet at a time, turning once, until cooked through, 8 to 10 minutes.

4.   For the rest of the slider, toss the cabbage and scallions with the mayonnaise, cider vinegar and celery seed, season with ¼ teaspoon each salt and pepper.

5.   Toss the meatballs with the barbecue sauce.  Dividing evenly, top the rolls with the meatballs and slaw. Serve with the fries.
