Frugal Tip ~ Remove Stains from Surfaces

It seems that stains seem to magically appear on my counter tops and other hard surfaces.

I’ve found a great home remedy to get rid of these tough stains.  Mix lemon juice with baking soda, the amount all depends on how big the stain is, until you develop a paste.  Apply the mixture to the stain and let sit for a few hours, then wipe clean.  If the stain is still visible, try the process again.

Frugal Tip #43 ~ Remove Lipstick or Ink Stains With Toothpaste

I don’t know how many different products I’ve bought from the store and they never seem to get stains out like they promise they will.  I found that if you have ink or lipstick stains on your fabric, just put some white (non-gel) toothpaste on the stain and rub it in very well.  Let it sit for a few minutes and then rinse the toothpaste out with water.  If it doesn’t work the first time, try this process a few more times and the stain will come out.
